The Phantoms Golf Society follow the Rules of Golf as specified by the R&A . There are no special rules other than the local rules of the club where the competition is played. Any player who is unsure of the ruling should ask their fellow players for confirmation. Golf is a game of trust and we all trust each other.

Wherever possible the WHS system of handicapping will be used. Competition scores will be added to the WHS system. For members who do not have a WHS handicap they will be allocated a SOCIETY HC which will be adjusted by the HC Secretary based upon WHS rules.
The maximum initial starting handicap will be 36 for both men and ladies.
