The Phantoms Golf Society follow the Rules of Golf as specified by the R&A . There are no special rules other than the local rules of the club where the competition is played. Any player who is unsure of the ruling should ask their fellow players for confirmation. Golf is a game of trust and we all trust each other.

Should there be any doubt whether a players ball is either inbound or lost please play a provisional ball.
Phantoms members receive a discount from the normal buggy hire rate . Whenever there is an odd number of players requesting buggies , the shortfall will be shared by all those requiring a buggy. Usually this addition will amount no more than €2 which will still be less than the official buggy rate.
Occasionally the WHS handicap on a players card may be slightly different from that shown . This can happen if a game was played and registered after the card was prepared. Any player who is aware that their HC is not correct must inform a committee member prior to commencement of the game for it to apply
Members can win multiple prizes without limit.
Guests can, on the payment of €5, enter the 2s competition Nearest the pin prizes and Longest Drive. Guests are not able to win any of the main competition prizes which are reserved for members only.
