2 DAY EVENT WINNER SANDRA STRONGHILL
Congratulations go to Sandra Stronghill for winning this hard fought competition with 70 points. Joint Runners up were Susan Martin & Peter Box with 65 points.
JOINT WINNERS PLAYER OF THE YEAR EDDIE TITTENSOR & SANDRA STRONGHILL
With Eddie away in Italy and leading the competition like last year, a number of players could catch him if they played really well . However only Sandra with 2 x 35 pointers would catch him and share the prize . So very well done to you both for being the best consistent players over the year. Sitting 11 points behind the leaders in August Sandra stormed the summer competitions to lie equal top with Eddie as Player of the Year after the 2 day event.
Well done indeed !!!

On a very hot August day with temperatures in the upper 30s David Elsworthy scored the best Phantoms score of the year so far with a personal best of 42 points . Well Done David !!!

We arranged to play Islas Canelas
in Spain late in February but it was postponed due to heavy rain and rearranged for the following week. Despite more rain a brave few played through it. New Member Jeremy (Jez) won NTP and Susan Martin Won Best score !!!

The December Medal was very nearly a full house as 18 members had a lovely day with once again some very good scores being posted.

2023-24 PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Congratulations to Chris Cameron Gudge who played a personal best of 43 points in the final competition of the year to win the Phantoms Player of the Year and 2 day Challenge trophy.

5 PERSONAL BESTS AT 2 DAY CHALLENGE
In September we held our 2 day challenge, very sadly due to holidays and personal commitments our numbers were reduced ,however it was a great couple of days.
On the first day Olof was the winner coming in with 40 points his personal best for a Phantoms Game this year . Olof was followed by Florence who also hit a PB of 37 points this year.
All the players on the 1st day hit more than 30 points. Well done !!!
On the 2nd day Simon just had to stay ahead of Chris to win the player of the year competition, having led the table all year. Sadly for Simon Chris’s putter was on fire and he hit the best score of anyone at a Phantoms competition this year, coming in with a superb 43 points. Simon gave a real good fight though and hit his best score of the year coming in with a 39 but it just wasn´t enough . Chris is the winner of the player of the year trophy . Congratulations to Chris !!!
Also on Day 2 in 3rd place was Eddie with 36 points playing off 2 , another PB for a phantoms event.
Olof couldn´t replicate his good score of the first day which allowed Chris CG to win the 2 Day event as well with a combined score of 77 followed by Simon on 72
A clean sweep for Chris this year winning both the main prizes. Well done indeed.

PHANTOMS GO TAPAS
On the 16th February despite sickness and car breakdowns some Phantoms managed to get to Onze de Vila In Loule where we had a lovely meal and it is definitely a restaurant we will be keen to visit again.

On the 19th December we had great day with 4 teams at Castro Marim. The weather was superb and congratulations go to the team of Chris Cameron Gudge, Olof Schyllander & John Kurao

Phantoms celebrated Xmas at Antonio´s restaurant in Moncarapacho on the 21st . The food was really excellent we had a fantastic time and we hope to be back soon .
